Phase Engineering of Ru-based Electrocatalysts for Efficient Hydrogen Oxidation Reaction
钌基催化剂的相工程调控用于高效的氢氧化反应
Ruthenium (Ru)-based electrocatalysts,one of the most highly promisinganode materials for anion exchange membrane fuel cells (AEMFCs), suffer from sluggish reaction kinetics of hydrogen oxidation reaction (HOR) in alkaline electrolyte due to the unbalanced adsorption of intermediates. Phase engineering strategy is beneficial for optimizing the electronic structure, coordination environment, electrons transferof Ru-based electrocatalysts to regulate the adsorption of the intermediates (H*/OH*/CO*). This work mainly focuses on the structural properties of Ru-based electrocatalysts with three types of phase structures, including face-center cubic (fcc) phase, hexagonalclose-packed (hcp) phase, and amorphous phase. Thereby, these phase-optimized Ru-based electrocatalysts exhibit excellent catalytic activity for the HOR and AEMFCs, owing to theirreduced H* adsorption energyand accelerated intermediates migration rates on Ru sites. This work presents a highly efficient strategytooptimize the electrochemical performance of Ru-based electrocatalysts, offering a valuable reference for designing efficient electrocatalysts for HOR and AEMFCs.
五、报告人简介
韦丽成,工学博士,现任佛山仙湖实验室助理研究员。研究经历为2019年硕士毕业于暨南大学,2022年博士毕业于广东工业大学,随后在厦门大学进行博士后项目研究,2024年博士后出站后加入佛山仙湖实验室,主要研究内容包含氢燃料电池阳极催化剂,金属空气电池空气电极催化剂及锂钠电池负极材料,曾参与国家自然科学基金重点项目、面上项目等项目研究,并于2025年获得国家自然科学基金青年基金项目C类资助一项。目前已在Energy & Environmental Science、Angewandte Chemie International Edition、Chemical Science、Small、Journal of Materials Chemistry A等国际知名期刊发表SCI论文20多篇,申请/授权国家发明专利3项。
